Spent 5 hours at DK3 studio with some talented models, makeup artists and professional studio equipment. Was an awesome experience for photographers to play with studio lighting, and a great time overall for everyone.

The pictures should be uploaded by this Saturday July 17th. Thanks to everyone who came, it was a worthwhile experience. Expect to see more studio shoots in the future!

Getting back on track with the weekly themes. Feel free to stretch the theme as far as you want, but remember it must be a photo taken after the theme is posted.

It’s getting close to finals week so we’re closing off Senior Portrait reservations, and will re-open them for a couple of weeks after finals. Reservations will officially close on Thursday, May 27th at 11:59pm. Keep an eye out for the re-opening after Finals Week. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Much of our cabinet is graduating this quarter, so we’re looking for eager new officers to take over their positions. Among the soon-to-be-vacant positions are President, Financial Officer, and Equipment Manager. For more details, check out the thread.

If think you can help support the club in a way that doesn’t seem like it’s covered by the existing titles, post your idea and it’s entirely likely we can find a role for you to fill. If you’re eager to take up some of the organizational duties of the club, that’s what we’re looking for!

Interviews will be held at the quarterly potluck next Monday (Memorial Day).

It’s past the deadline, but if you’ve already paid and we’re still waiting for your photo submissions please get them in in the next couple of days so Paul can get back to playing StarCraft 2!

Loaded weekend coming up! On Saturday, we’ve got our quarterly photo adventure to scenic Julian, lending our services to UTA for their annual semi-formal dance/casino night, as well as a benefit party on campus for Haiti. Follow the links for more info on rides and meetup times.  Then on Sunday is our Portrait Shooting Info Session, which is a great opportunity for photogs of any level of experience to learn new skills or hone existing ones with no pressure. Hope to see you out there!

Adobe just dropped some new info about their upcoming Photoshop update. We’ve all heard about Content-Aware Fill, but check out the Puppet Warp tool. Sorcery!

Need some artwork to decorate your digs? Photo.Club is selling prints on Library Walk today through Wednesday from 11am to 3pm. Prints are high enough quality to make Judge Joe Brown happy and come mounted on matte boards ready for framing or just stick them right on the wall with mounting tape!

Photo.Club will be tabling at Admit Day in the Town Square (between the Triton Center and Library Walk) until 2pm today. Come find us and say, “hi!”
